16. Remove steering gear-to-frame bolts and support steering gear. Refer to Steering Gear Replacement (Electronic Power Steering) (See: Steering
and Suspension/Steering/Steering Gear/Service and Repair)Steering Gear Replacement (Hydraulic Power Steering LY7) (See: Steering and
Suspension/Steering/Steering Gear/Service and Repair)Steering Gear Replacement (Hydraulic Power Steering LZ4, LZ9) (See: Steering and
Suspension/Steering/Steering Gear/Service and Repair).
17. Remove the left side ball stud from the steering knuckle. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement (See: Steering and
Suspension/Suspension/Control Arm/Service and Repair/Front Suspension).
18. Support the left frame rail with a jack stand.
19. Remove the left 2 frame-to-body bolts.
20. Lower the frame with jack stand and remove jack stand.
21. Position the drain pan under transaxle side cover.
