Grand Prix V6-191 3.1L VIN M SFI (1998)
3. Apply sealant at the cylinder head to lower intake manifold joint at the front of the lower intake manifold (1).
IMPORTANT: Apply sealant GM P/N 12345739 or equivalent at the cylinder head to lower intake manifold joint.
4. Install the left (front) valve rocker arm cover. Hand tighten the left (front) valve rocker arm cover bolts.

Tighten the valve rocker arm cover bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Install the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve to the left (front) valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Powertrain Management.
6. Connect the automatic transaxle vacuum modulator pipe. Refer to Vacuum Modulator Pipe Replacement in Automatic Transmission/Transaxle.
7. Install the left (front) spark plug wires. Refer to Spark Plug Wire Harness Replacement (3100 L82 (VIN M)) in Ignition System.
8. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Starting and Charging.
