Place boot retaining bushing onto cylinder tube of rack and pinion assembly, then slide into end of rack and pinion boot.
12.
Slide boot clamp over cylinder end of housing and position on rack and pinion boot.
13.
Slide rack and pinion boot and boot retaining bushing until seated in bushing groove in housing.
14.
Position boot clamp on rack and pinion boot and crimp clamp.
15.
Position bridge of boot clamp over split in boot retaining bushing and crimp clamp. Bridge of boot clamp must be crimped over split in boot
retaining bushing to ensure proper sealing.
