3. For vehicles equipped with an Automatic Transmission, install the flywheel retaining bolts (1-8) to the crankshaft.

Tighten the 8 flywheel retaining bolts in sequence for Automatic Transmission to 83 Nm (61 ft. lbs.).
4. For vehicles equipped with a Manual Transmission, install the flywheel retaining bolts to the crankshaft.
4.1.
Tighten the 8 flywheel retaining bolts in sequence for Manual Transmission to 49 Nm (36 ft. lbs.).
4.2.
After the proper torque has been reached, us a J 36660-A and tighten the flywheel bolts an additional 90°.
5. If equipped with a manual transmission, install the clutch and pressure plate.
6. Install the transaxle assembly.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.

Tighten the battery cable bolt to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
