Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling   (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement   (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Cover Replacement).

3. Remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with hose.

4. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector (1).

5. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor (1).
