Installing oil pan (lower part)

1. Fit molded seal on the lower part of the oil pan and fit O-rings on the sprue cones.

2. Fit lower part of oil pan.
2.1.

Fit lower part of oil pan and check that the seal is seated correctly.

2.2.

Screw in 23 inner Torx(R) screws (T30) M6 x 25.

2.3.

Screw in and tighten screws evenly according to tightening specifications. Screws 1, 2, 5 and 6 must be re-tightened.

Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work 

1. Fill in engine oil.
2. Start the engine and let it heat up until the operating temperature is reached (oil temperature is at least 80° C). The oil temperature and oil pressure

can be checked using the PIWIS Tester 9718.

2.1.

Inspect the oil pan for leaks.

2.2.

Check oil level.

2.3.

Check oil pressure.
