Control Assembly: Service and Repair
Heating / Fresh Air Control
Removal
1. Remove covers over heating and fresh-air control, battery and fluid reservoir. Disconnect battery and remove.
2. Remove steering wheel and loosen steering- column panel. Comply with safety regulations when handling airbag units.
3. Loosen central screw (clamp) at the steering column switch from below and pull forward a little. Remove top cover and disconnect electrical plug
connections. Remove steering-column switch.
4. Loosen instrument panel and unclip right side upwards. Disconnect electrical plug connections.
5. Remove steering-column cover (4 screws).
