Attachment "B" Work Procedure: Replace KESSY/PAS control unit.

Note!

To guarantee the function of the KESSY/PAS control unit, the coding value in the control unit to be replaced must be read out with the PIWIS
Tester and programmed back into the new control unit after the new control unit has been taught.

1.

Remove KESSY/PAS control unit according to instructions in, Workshop Manual '966619' Removing and installing KESSY control unit - section
on "Removing".

2.

Install new KESSY/PAS control unit according to instructions in, Workshop Manual '966619' Removing and installing KESSY control unit -
section on "Installing".

3.

Enter the workshop service action in the Warranty and Maintenance booklet.

Warranty claims should be submitted via e-DCS

Note:

Always check for open recall status under the appropriate e-DCS menu options.

Affected VINs: See Attachment "A"

Damage Code: W563 066 000 2

Labor Operation: Will be automatically inserted along with the necessary parts when the damage code is entered.
