Removing control unit for convertible top

INFORMATION:

-

There are two relays on the 987 - one for opening the convertible top and the other for closing it.

The relays are installed in the relay carrier on the driver's side, under the dashboard.

1. Remove relay carrier. Refer to Removing and installing relay carrier 1.
2. Read off the relay assignment from the wiring diagram for the relevant model and model year and remove the required relay.

Installing control unit for convertible top

1. Read off the relay assignment from the wiring diagram for the relevant model and model year and insert the required relay in the relay carrier.
2. Install relay carrier. Refer to Removing and installing relay carrier 1.
