Remove the center belt's lower mounting.

Remove the hinge pin at the center pivot.

IMPORTANT
Do not touch the two retaining bolts.

Detach the clip securing the 60% backrest's trim (by the outer belt anchorage.

Set the backrest in the upright position. Lift the backrest oft the left-hand side bracket.

Move the 60% backrest towards the door so that the center pivot pin comes out of its hole.

Lift out the backrest.

Remove the backrest catch's cover, 1 screw in the side and clips (turn 1/4 turn).
