OUTPUT SHAFT WITH BEARING, BEARING HOUSING AND SPACER SLEEVE.

1.  Use drift 83 90 189 and sleeve 87 90 461 to press the outer racers of the taper roller bearings into the bearing housing.

2.  Press the roller bearing nearest to the pinion as far as it will go. Use tool 83 90 148.
3.  Fit the clamping sleeve to the shaft.
4.  Fit the bearing housing.
5.  Fit the front roller bearing.

6.  Set up the shaft in a press (see figure). Use tool 83 90 148 and press slowly, at the same time turning the bearing housing until some resistance is

felt.

7.  Apply Loctite 270 to the threads and fit the nut. Set up fixture 87 90 636 with holder ring 87 91 097 in a vice. Use spanner 87 90 453 to tighten the

nut until the rolling torque is correct. Use a torque spanner for checking the rolling torque.
