Unplug the temperature sensor connector. Check the leads by measuring the voltage on pin 1 of the connector (5v). If no voltage is present, check
pin 35 of the 39-pin connector when it is plugged into the EDU control module.

If no voltage is present, try another EDU that is known to be OK.

If voltage is present, unplug the 39-pin connector and check the lead between pin 35 and pin 1 of the sensor.

With the ignition switched off and the 39-pin connector unplugged, check the ground lead between pins 2 and 28 for continuity.

With the connector unplugged, check the resistance of the outside temperature sensor. The resistance varies with the temperature.

If the resistance is correct and the wiring intact, try another EDU control module that is known to be OK.

Clear the diagnostic trouble codes in the ACC unit.

Check the resistance of the outside temperature sensor as described in point 5 on Fault Symptom 1 and check the wiring for short circuits. See:
