6. Remove the cover plate from wheel bearing unit.

Installation Procedure

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

Note installation position.

Clean thread and insert bolts with locking compound.

1. Install the wheel bearing unit.

Place the cover plate on the wheel bearing unit.

*

Slide the wheel bearing unit with the cover plate onto the axle shaft and place onto steering knuckle.

*

Install the 3 new bolts. 

Tighten the bolts to 90 Nm (67 lb ft) plus 30 degrees plus 15 degrees.
