4. Disconnect the wiring harness plug (1) for the horn.
5. Remove the steering wheel from the steering column.

Remove the bolt (2).
*
Pull the steering wheel from the steering spindle.
Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service Precautions).
Note: Before disconnecting the battery, the steering wheel lock must be disengaged.
6. Disconnect the battery.

Disengage the steering wheel lock by briefly pressing the Start/Stop button.
Note: Keep the driver door open and the key in the vehicle.

Disconnect the battery negative cable.
