Air Bag Control Module: Service and Repair
Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module Replacement
Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service Precautions).
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Wait 1 minute for the airbag to deactivate.
3. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and
Repair).
4. Remove the airbag control unit.
Remove the 3 nuts (1) and remove the control unit.
5. Loosen the airbag wiring harness.
