Shock Absorber Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle   (See: Wheels and Tires/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation   (See: Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair).
3. Support the rear axle with a jackstand (1).
4. In the vehicles with CDC chassis, disconnect the proportional valve wiring harness plug.
5. Remove the upper and lower shock bolts. 
6. Remove the shock (2) from the vehicle. 

Installation Procedure
