Fuse Block: Service and Repair
Instrument Panel Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement
INSTRUMENT PANEL ELECTRICAL CENTER OR JUNCTION BLOCK REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the positive battery cable.
3. Remove the nuts holding the fuse block in place. (Two nuts towards the front of the vehicle, one rearward.)
4. Remove the inlines that are attached to the fuse block bracket with the rose buds. (Left I/P fuse block-body to I/P inline and premium sound
system inline. Right I/P fuse block-body to I/P inline and CD inline.)
5. Remove the I/P connector.
NOTE: Take care when removing inlines. The rose buds will be re-used on the replacement fuse block.
6. Remove the body connector.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the body connector.
2. Install the I/P connector.
3. Align the fuse block on the three studs (2 forward, 1 rearward).
4. Install the nuts.
5. Install the inline connectors to the fuse block bracket. (Body to I/P inlines go tot the outer rose bud attachment holes.)
6. Connect the positive battery cable.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
