Removal

2AZ-FE FUEL: FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION WITH COVER PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel

Pump/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

2. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Pump/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

3. REMOVE FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Pump/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

4. REMOVE FUEL PUMP GAUGE RETAINER See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Pump/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

5. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION WITH PUMP AND GAUGE TUBE ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air

Induction/Fuel Pump/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

6. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.
(b) Remove the wire harness protector.
(c) Separate the wire harness.

NOTICE:  Do not damage the wire harness.

(d) Release the lock as shown in the illustration and slide the fuel sender gauge to remove it.
