  Note
t  Clean the grooves on the input shaft and lightly lubricate them with grease. Allocation: → Parts catalogue
t  The clutch plate should always be free to move on the input shaft.
t  Check if the dowel sockets for centering the gearbox with the engine are fitted and damage free, if not replace them.
t  Ensure that the intermediate plate is correctly seated on the engine.
t  When the battery is re-connected, depending on which version, the vehicle equipment will have to be encoded. Carry out the radio coding and adjust the clock.
–  The fitting of the gearbox is carried out in the reverse order of removal operations. The engine/gearbox bracket should be fitted free from tension.
–  To connect the gearbox to the engine, the gearbox is fitted so that the right hand side flanged shaft is rotated towards the upper part of the engine.
–  Move the gearbox towards the engine, using the spindles on the support tool -T20138C-, position the gearbox until the dowel sleeves are in line with their allotments.
–  Fit the left hand console on the gearbox before lifting the engine assembly.
–  Adjust the gear selection mechanism → Chapter.
–  Following fitting, the oil level in the gearbox must be checked → Chapter.
