Fitting (clutch cable not tensioned) –  Pull the clutch cable through the bulkhead and fit the bellows. –  Lubricate the clutch cable securing/clutch pedal area with -G 052 142 A2- grease.

–  Secure the clutch cable to the clutch pedal -arrow-. Replace the plastic tie that was cut when disassembling.

–  Secure the tensioning cap -A-. –  Pull the end of the cable in the direction of the arrow -1- and maintain pulled. Slide the sleeve with adjustment mechanism -B- several times in the direction of the arrow -2- until it can be compressed with the bulkhead wall.

–  Fit the tensioning cap in the two lugs on the automatic adjustment mechanism. –  Fit the bellows to the wall of the bulkhead.

–  Hook the clutch cable to the clutch release lever as described below: –  Fit the rubber stop -3- into its location in the gearbox casing. –  Pull the sleeve -2- in the direction of vehicle movement and fit the clutch cable into its location on the clutch release lever -1-.

–  Secure the clutch cable to its location -arrow-.   Note! On securing the clutch cable to its location do not bend, otherwise the automatic adjustment mechanism could stop working properly.

–  Remove the automatic adjustment mechanism tensioning cap -arrows-. –  Checking the functioning of the clutch cable with automatic adjustment → Chapter

Fit the protective cover (upper and lower parts) to the pedal assembly bracket, in the reverse order to disassembly → Anchor –  Secure the electric cables to their original positions. –  Fit the main junction box to its bracket. –  Fit the footwell area cover: → General body repairs-assembly work, interior; Rep. Gr.70 –  Fit the shelf on driver's side: → General body repairs-assembly work, interior; Rep. Gr.68
