Gearbox: fitting
–  Check that the adjustment sleeves are fitted in the engine flange.
–  Check that the intermediate plate (of the engine/gearbox) is correctly fitted. The plate should remain attached all around the edge of the engine by gently pressing against this with both hands. If it is detached from the engine on the top, this means that it has not been correctly attached from behind the drive plate.
Proceed as for removal but in reverse order.
–  Replace all the bolts on the left fastening of the engine assembly.
–  First hand tighten all the new bolts.
–  First tighten the console onto the gearbox and then the console onto the gearbox housing support.
Tightening torques to attach the gearbox to the engine and to the gearbox support unit → Chapter
The engine and the gearbox should be supported without strain on the subframe support. The necessary relevant descriptions can be found in the → Rep. Gr.10
–  Adjusting the selection cable → Chapter
–  Check the level of the ATF after assembling the gearbox → Chapter.
–  Perform basic setting. To do so:
–  Connect the central diagnosis -VAS 505X- and, then select “Perform basic setting” in the Guided functions.
–  After assembling the gearbox align the steering. See → Running gear, shafts, steering; Rep. Gr.40
