Removing
Removing
–  Remove engine cover. → Booklet2
–  Remove air filter housing; gasoline engines → Rep. Gr.24 and diesel engines → Rep. Gr.23.
–  Remove the battery and the battery support: → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.27
   
–  Pull forwards, in the direction of the cable securing mechanism -arrow 1-, from the gear selection and engagement, rotating it after to the left in the direction of the -arrow 2- to secure it, and separate the cables from the securing elements.
–  Remove the cables from the support, releasing the securing rings carefully to avoid damaging them.
–  Extract the cables from the support on the side of the gearbox.
–  Remove the central console cover.

–  Lightly press on the front of the cover -arrow-, and rotate partially towards the upper part for removal.
To remove the gear lever cover, open the clamp and remove the gear lever knob along with the cover → Chapter.

–  Extract the nuts that support the protective housing -arrows-.
–  Separate the floor protection lining, lower part.

–  Remove the brackets -1- . Torque: 25 Nm.
–  Loosen exhaust system from double clamp -2-.
–  Loosen the exhaust tube from the front part -arrows- of the subframe.
–  Remove heat insulation.-3-
–  Release the gear lever casing from the body structure.
–  Remove the protective housing of the gear-shift and rotate together with the lines. When doing this, do not damage mechanical parts and body.
