| Setting service position |
| Carry out the following work: |
| – | Remove front bumper lining → Chapter. |
| – | If vehicle has charge air cooler, disconnect pressure hoses. |
| – | Undo rear lower bolt for securing for left and right headlights → Vehicle electrics; Electrical system; Rep. gr.94. |
| – | Do not remove headlight. |
| – | Remove bolts -3- on left and right side of longitudinal members. |
| – | Screw in 2 sets of special guide pin -T 10093- tool into left and right longitudinal members. |
| – | Unscrew bolts -2- on left and right from upper part of retaining brackets -2-. |
| – | The lock carrier -1- can be pulled forwards -arrows a- about 10 cm on the special tool guide pins -T 10093-. |
