t  Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-
  L00-10226
t  Measuring tool -U 40807-
  Note
t  For the basic adjustment of the tailgate, the vehicle should be on the ground (with the weight resting on all four wheels).
t  The tailgate lock is attached directly onto the tailgate with bolts. There are no over-sized openings, and therefore it can not be adjusted.
t  The adjustment stops, as for other vehicles, can not be used to adjust the tailgate. They are only for stabilising or damping the tailgate.
t  For an exact tailgate adjustment, check, when closed, that all the spacings are within the specified tolerance → Rep. gr.00.
The tailgate adjustment is described below:
–  Check the tolerances using the gauge -U 40807- → Rep. gr.00.
–  Remove gas strut → Chapter.
–  Adjust the tailgate using the slip plate → Chapter.

–  Adjust the position of the tailgate by loosening the bolts -arrows- of the right and left hinges .

–  Adjust the position of the tailgate by loosening the hexagonal nut -1- → Chapter.
–  Check the adjustment stops → Chapter
  Note
Check all clearances for precise adjustments of the tailgate → Rep. gr.00.
