General notes on adjustment of the sliding door
  Note
t  All other available information such as, e.g. self-study programmes, multimedia programmes for dealership training and Technical Service Handbook entries must be used to provide assistance.
t  Adjustment of the sliding door must be carried out with a great deal of care.
t  For adjustment, vehicle must be resting on its wheels.
t  The gap dimension can be found under: → Rep. gr.00
t  The critical place is the rear upper corner of the sliding door towards the seal or trim strip of the side window.
t  If both doors on one side have to be adjusted, the front door is preset with a dimension → Chapter
Sliding door has been correctly adjusted:
t  if its gap is the same all round it when closed
t  it is not protruding too far inwards or outwards
t  the contours are flush with each other
t  the striker pin of the sliding door does not rise or press down when door is closed
t  and the sliding door does not come into contact with surrounding components when door is opened.
The sequence of the three work steps is as follows:
t  Undo the screws of the locating peg,
t  Adjust the height
t  Adjust flushness
t  Adjust the gap
t  check all dimensions,
t  tighten the screws of the locating peg.
