Seat backrest adjustment drive: Removing and installing
Seat backrest adjustment drive: Removing and installing
removing
–  Mount the holder for seat repair -VAS 6136- on the engine and gearbox jack -VAS 6095-.
–  Remove seat → Chapter.
–  Fasten seat on seat repair stand -VAS 6136-.
–  Remove front belt buckle → Chapter.
–  Remove trim on tunnel side → Chapter.
–  Remove trim on sill side → Chapter.
–  Disconnect the two seat backrest drive wiring harnesses from seat frame on lower side. Loosen the wiring harnesses of the seat frame.
–  Remove backrest → Chapter.
–  Mount backrest on seat repair stand -VAS 6136-.
–  Remove backrest folding table if there is one → Chapter.
–  Remove front seat backrest cover and padding → Chapter.
   
–  Disconnect the wiring harness from seat backrest adjustment motor.
–  Undo and remove bolt -1- (7.5+1 Nm).
–  Remove nut -2- (8±1 Nm).

   
–  Pull transmission rod -1- out of backrest -arrow-.
–  Remove the seta backrest adjustment motor -2- from backrest frame.

Installation
–  Installation is carried out in reverse order.
