Removing
  Note
t  When removal and installation the seats use suitable gloves in order to avoid soiling the upholstery.
t  The removal and installation procedures may need to be modified slightly depending on the equipment variants.
  Caution
Perform the following sequences with great care in order not to damage the cover or the padding.
–  Fold backrest down.
   
–  Undo the screw -1- and remove the pull rod -2- from the slide piece -3-.
  Caution
The backrest must be folded forwards in order to release the pull rod -2-. The spring element is free of tension in this position.

–  From the back side of the seat, release the hook of the pull cable -1- on the end on the backrest from the seat support -2-.
–  Return the backrest to its correct position.

–  Drill-out the rivet -1-.
–  Cut-out the sleeve fixing -3- and disconnect the pull cable connection -2- from the mechanism.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse order. The following should be taken into account:
–  Tighten the securing bolts of the pull rod on the slide piece to 6 Nm.
