Removing and installing backrest cover panel
Removing and installing backrest cover panel
Removing
–  Attach seat repair stand -VAS 6136- to engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-.
–  Remove seat → Chapter.
–  Fasten seat on seat repair stand -VAS 6136-.
–  Remove head restraint.
–  Remove backrest mechanism trims → Chapter.
   
–  Release top-tether hider -1- with removal wedge -VAS 3409- and top and bottom and pull out.

–  Pull backrest release mechanism cover -1- off upwards.
–  Lever off stop buffers -2- and -3- outwards, using the removal wedge -VAS 3409-.

–  Detach upper section -1-.
–  Detach section -2- on the left and right-hand side.
–  Detach lower section -4--arrow-.
–  Take cover -3- upwards off backrest frame.

Installing
–  Install in reverse order of removal.
