  Note!
t  Operation of control motor can be checked in the following manner, for example: Connect pins “5” and “6” in the servomotor plug to a 12V DC voltage supply, the servomotor will move to the maximum position in only one direction, exchanging the positive and negative poles modifies the direction of turn. Use an adapter cable for this → Chapter.
t  Following the fitting of a new servomotor, carry out the basic adjustment of the air conditioning → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
t  With the function “basic adjustment” additional tests can be done for the activation of the air conditioning electric components, for example, that they are not mixed up → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
