Removing and fitting the condenser
t  Venting device for the air conditioner -SAT 4006D-
t  Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-
t  Kit (case) -T20017A-

  Note
t  The refrigerant must have been previously extracted, e.g. using the service station -SAT 4006D-.
t  The air conditioner service stations that have been used until today can still be used ⇒ Workshop service stations catalogue.
t  Close all of the refrigerant circuit components that are open using the proper covers to prevent moisture from entering.
   
1 - Radiator for engine coolant
2 - Condenser
q   With receiver and dryer cartridge
Removing:
First carry out the following work:
  WARNING
Before commencing work on the compressors of the air conditioning system, disconnect the battery → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
–  First evacuate refrigerant circuit using e.g. air conditioner service station -SAT 4006D-. Then - and only then - open refrigerant circuit.
  Note
Releasing refrigerant into the environment is a punishable offence.
–  Unscrew the screws -7--8- on the block connections of the coolant hose.
–  Move lock carrier to service position → Rep. gr.50.
–  Undo the fixing screws -3-4-5 and 6- of the radiator.
  Note
Depending on the engine and vehicle version, the removal of different components may be necessary.
  WARNING
Danger of freezing injuries.
If refrigerant circuit has not been evacuated, refrigerant will escape.
Extract refrigerant before opening refrigerant circuit. If the refrigerant circuit is not opened within 10 minutes after it has been evacuated, pressure may develop in coolant circuit due to re-evaporation. Extract refrigerant again.
–  Remove refrigerant lines on condenser and seal.
Installing:
  Note
Tighten securing bolts in the following order: first -3-, then -4-, -5- and -6-.
3 - Bolt.
q   6 Nm
  Note
Tighten securing bolts in the following order: first -3-, then -4-, -5- and -6-.
4 - Bolt.
q   6 Nm
  Note
Tighten securing bolts in the following order: first -3-, then -4-, -5- and -6-.
5 - Bolt.
q   6 Nm
  Note
Tighten securing bolts in the following order: first -3-, then -4-, -5- and -6-.
6 - Bolt.
q   6 Nm
  Note
Tighten securing bolts in the following order: first -3-, then -4-, -5- and -6-.
7 - Bolt.
q   12 Nm
8 - Refrigerant line block connection
q   Always renew O-rings (note part number).
9 - Bolt.
q   6 Nm
