| Plug connector -C- into the servomotor -A-. |
–
| Lay the cable harness to the connector -C- so that it cannot make contact with any moving parts (eg. the levers in the intake cavity). |
–
| Insert the pivot -E- of the servomotor into the cam disk housing -F- |
Note t
| The pivot of the servomotor shaft -E- must only be fitted in a position where it can be inserted into the cam disk -F- without using force. If the pivot -E- can only be inserted with pressure, check the motor shaft (it may be turned 270° and applied to the other limit). |
t
| If the servomotor shaft pivot -E- is not in a position where it can be inserted, connect the servomotor to the vehicle cable harness. Connect the ignition and select the Climatronic control unit -J255- on the control and indication panel, on a setting where the servomotor will be in a central position (eg. fresh air intake mode) Wait until the servomotor has reached the required position then disconnect the ignition. |
t
| If the servomotor shaft pivot -E- is not in a position for insertion, contact “5” and “6” of the removed servomotor can be connected to a 12 V battery (with a 5A fuse) using a cable adapter (or an auxiliary cable of the auxiliary measurement set -V.A.G 1594/C-). Allow the servomotor to turn until the shaft is in a position where it can be inserted freely (roughly in mid-position); the turning direction can be reversed by exchanging the positive and negative poles. |
–
| Fit the servomotor -A- in its housing -D- |
Re-install all parts removed in reverse order, paying attention to the following: |
Note In case of complaints of humidity in the passenger compartment, check also the operation of the air recirculation trap to see if it closes fully. |
