Removing and fitting the compressor pulley
  Note
t  If the pulley overload safety device has been triggered, check if the compressor is easy to move before replacing the pulley. If it is difficult to move, replace it completely.
t  To remove the pulley, it may be necessary to loosen the engine compressor, depending on the engine version → Chapter.
t  The compressor can be detached from the support and re-attached without opening up refrigerant pipes.
t  Before removing, mark direction of Poly-V belt with chalk or felt-tipped pen. If a belt which has previously functioned is made to operate in the opposite direction, this can cause it to be destroyed.
t  According to the engine specification, the type of Ibiza or Córdoba vehicle and the different versions for countries, different compressors are fitted (to the left or right of the engine, petrol or diesel engines, hot or cold coutries), by virtue of which, the exact allocation must be taken into account. → Pats catalogue
