Installing –  Place a new O ring on the satellite carrier.

–  When the satellite carrier is replaced, adjust → Chapter. –  Position the axial needle bearing with washers and the satellite carrier on the drive socket. 1 -  Drive socket: is fitted to the gearbox casing → Chapter 2 -  Washer for axial needle bearing: position the flat side on the drive sprocket 3 -  Axial needle bearing 4 -  Washer for axial needle bearing 5 -  Fit the satellite carrier with the O ring fitted

–  Position the washer and the axial needle bearing on the short planet gear in the satellite carrier. –  Centre the washer and the axial needle bearing on the short planet gear in the satellite carrier. –  Position the inner and outer disks of the brake -B1- → Chapter. –  Position the pressure lever with the flat side facing the disks.   Note! The thickness of the pressure plate varies according to the number of disks. Spare parts are allocated according to the gearbox codes → Chapter.

–  Position the plate spring with the rounded side facing the free wheel. When replacing: t  the gearbox casing t  the free wheel t  the piston for brakes -B1- t  or the disks Brake -B1- must be adjusted → Chapter.

To ensure the free wheel rollers return to their housing to protect the planet gear, insert the satellite carrier and make it turn until the free wheel is correctly seated. –  Fit the safety ring for the free wheel -b- and the safety ring for the support pipe -a-. –  Position the safety ring openings on the free wheel support wedge -arrow-. –  Fit the gearbox rev. speed sender -G38- → Fig.. –  Verify the measurement of the reverse gear brake -B1- → Chapter.

–  Beginning with the long planet gear up to the satellite carrier shaft, place the following parts in the gearbox casing: 1 -  Long planet gear 2 -  Axial needle bearing washer (the shoulder must be facing the long planet gear) 3 -  Axial needle bearing 4 -  Short planet gear shaft 5 -  Axial needle bearing 6 -  Axial needle bearing 7 -  Satellite carrier shaft

–  Connect the parking lock.

–  Insert a screwdriver through the holes in the long planet gear to be able to loosen and tighten the screw for the satellite carrier shaft. –  Fit the screw for the satellite carrier shaft -1- with the washer -2- and the shim -3-. Tightening torque: 30 Nm –  Place the shim -3- on top of the satellite carrier shaft shoulder -arrow-. –  Determine the thickness of the shim → Chapter. –  Measure the satellite carrier → Anchor.

–  Fit the axial needle bearing -1- with the washer onto the 3rd and 4th gear -K3- clutch -2-.   Note! Apply ATF to the axial needle bearing so that it sticks to the clutch -K3- when fitted.

–  Check the seat of the rings -K3-. –  Check that the hook-shaped notches of the ring are hooked together.
