Pressure differential senderG505: Removing and installing.
Pressure differential sender -G505-: Removing and installing.
  Note
t  Pressure differential sender -G 505- determines charge status of particulate filter.
t  Different measuring methods are applied.
t  The component keeps the same designation.
Method 1 (differential pressure measurement)
Pressure differential sender -G 505- is connected via two pipes to the measuring points upstream and downstream of the particulate filter. general installation diagram.
Method 2 (Measurement of the relative pressure)
The pressure differential sender -G 505- is connected with the particulate filter via a pipe.
»Carry out the following work sequence«
Removal:
–  Remove engine cover panel → Chapter.
–  Before pulling off, spray two hoses of pressure differential sender -G505- with solvent.

–  Disconnect electrical connector -2- at pressure differential sender -G505-.
–  Pull hose carefully and straight from union (unions break off pressure differential sender -G505- very easily).
–  Unscrew bolt -3-, remove pressure differential sender -G505-.
Installation
Tightening torques: → Chapter
–  When installing, note the following:
  Note
t  Before installing, blow out hoses of pressure differential sender -G505- to particulate filter with compressed air (hoses can become obstructed or may ice up due to condensation).
t  Make sure that hoses are securely fitted and seal properly.
After replacing the pressure differential sender -G505- or the particle filter, a readopting must be carried out again. (The procedure is also described under Guided Functions.)
Select the correct vehicle identification in the Guided Fault Finding.
