Fitting: Recommendations
Perform the operations described for removal in reverse order, bearing in mind the following:
–  Check the declutching collar for wear and replace if necessary.
–  Lightly grease the declutching collar with -G 000 100-, and also the guide sleeve for the collar and toothed collar of the primary.
–  Make sure the sleeves for centring the engine/gearbox unit are fitted on the engine unit, and fit if necessary.
–  On fitting the engine unit, make sure there is a sufficient gap with respect to the half-shafts.
–  On fitting the engine supports, make sure that the lip of the right rear console and the burr of the front right console fit in the metal/rubber guides -arrows-.
   
–  Line up the engine by shaking so that the supports rest without tension.
–  Fit the front exhaust pipe → Rep. Gr.26.
–  Fit the articulated half-shafts: → Fahrwerk; Rep. Gr.40
Vehicles with air conditioning
–  Fitting the air conditioning compressor: → Heating, air conditioning; Rep. Gr.87
Continue for all vehicles
–  Fit the fin pump for the power steering: → Running gear; Rep. Gr.48
–  Fit the rector cylinder (drum) of the hydraulic clutch: → Manual 5 speed gearbox 02K; Rep. Gr.30
–  Fit the gearbox control: → Manual 5 speed gearbox 02K; Rep. Gr.34
–  Electrical connections and cable extension: → Rep. Gr.97
–  Fit the lock holder plate and the accessory pieces: → Bodywork-assembly work; Rep. Gr.50
–  Fit the Poly-V → Chapter.
–  Load coolant → Chapter.
–  Fit the soundproofing pan.
–  Check the adjustment of the headlights and correct if necessary: → Booklet
–  Make a test run and check the fault memory → Rep. Gr.01.
