Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Check the-T10007- antifreeze protection
t  Pliers for elastic clamps -T20029-
t  Collector tray -V.A.G 1306-
t  Torque wrench -SAT 8010-

Removing
–  Remove the coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove the flexible coolant pipes from the radiator.
–  Disconnect the terminal connector of the thermal switch and the radiator fan.
–  Remove the front bumper: → Bodywork-assembly work; Rep. Gr.63
–  Set the lock holder plate to the service position: → Bodywork-assembly work; Rep. Gr.50
–  Remove the fan screen along with the fan/s.
–  Remove the bolts holding the radiator and pull the radiator downwards.
Vehicles with air conditioning
–  Note the additional recommendation and the assembly work → .
Fitting
Fit in reverse order to removal, observing the following:
–  Loading coolant, new → Chapter.
Additional recommendation and assembly work on vehicles with air conditioning
  Caution
The air conditioning coolant agent circuit should not be opened.
  Note!
To prevent damage to the condenser and the coolant pipes/sleeves, take care not to excessively bend, twist or stretch any pipes/sleeves.
–  Remove the clamps of the coolant agent pipes.
–  Unscrew the condenser from its fixture on the radiator and fix it to the lock holder.
