  Note
If, during engine repairs, large quantities of metal shavings or particles caused by mechanical wear to, e.g. the bedplate bearings or conrod head bearings, are found in the engine oil, the oil cooler must be repaced and the oil channels must be cñeaned carefully to prevent further damage.
