Components of the Throttle valve control unit -J338-:
t  Throttle valve control (electric accelerator control) -G186-
t  Angle sender -1- for throttle valve control (electric accelerator control) -G187-
t  Angle sender -2- for throttle valve control (electric accelerator control) -G188-
  Note
Note: If the throttle valve control part is replaced, the new control part must without fail be adapted to the engine control unit → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
Test requirements
t  Throttle neither damaged nor dirty
Test sequence
–  Pull 6-pin connector off throttle valve control unit.
   
–  Measure operating resistance of throttle valve between the following contacts:
  E24-0221
Connector, contactConnector, contact
35
Specification: 1.5 ... 5.0 Ω

If specification is not attained:
–  Replace the Throttle valve control unit -J338-.
If the specified value is achieved:
–  Check voltage supply of throttle valve control part and wiring to control unit.
If there are no faults in the voltage supply or wiring:
–  Replace engine control unit: → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
