Silencer and exhaust pipe: Separate

t	In order to replace the centre pipe and rear silencers separately, the connecting pipe can be cut at the marked point.

t	The cutting point can be identified by the impression on the circumference of the exhaust tube.

Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Chain pipe cutter -VAS 6254-, see equivalent → Anchor

t	Body saw e.g.-V.A.G 1523 A-

t	Protective glasses

Operation process

WARNING

Wear eye protection.

–	Separate the exhaust pipe at right angles in the cutting some -arrow 1-.

–	When installing the double clamp -4-, position it on the side markings -arrows--2- and -3-, tightening torque: 40 Nm.

–	Align exhaust system without tension → Chapter
