Exhaust gas recirculation radiator switching valve: check

Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Manual vacuum pump -VAS 6213-, see equivalency → Anchor

Procedure

–	Remove heat shield sleeve.

–	Remove the vacuum hose from the vacuum socket and connect the Manual vacuum pump -VAS 6213- in its place.

–	Operate hand vacuum pump to create a vacuum.

l	The linkage of the exhaust gas recirculation cooler changeover must move -arrows-.

If linkage does not move or only moves in jerks:

t	Vacuum actuator is defective.

t	Changeover flap for exhaust gas recirculation is tight.

Note

When fitting the heat protection plate, fit to the same location.
