Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Pliers for spring-loaded band-type clamps -VAS 6499-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing
–  Disconnect the engine cover-arrow-.
–  Remove coolant pipe (top) → Chapter.

–  Unscrew nuts -arrows- and place bearing with fuel filter and hoses -1- and -2- connected down to side.
  A20-10689
–  Pull out the plug -2-.
–  Remove the coolant hose. Loosen the hose clips -1- and -3- for this purpose.
–  Unscrew nuts -arrows- and pull out coolant hose.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:
l  Tightening torques → Chapter „Coolant lines, coolant temperature senders, coolant circulation pump: Assembly overview“
–  Install fuel filter → Chapter.
