Removing and installing oil filter bracket with oil cooler t  Removing → Anchor. t  Installing → Anchor. Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter. Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Base -VAS 6499-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Extractor -T10118-, see equivalent → Anchor Removing

–  Remove the engine cover upwards -arrows-. –  Drain coolant → Chapter. –  Remove air filter housing → Chapter. –  Remove the air duct with the radiator fan → Chapter.

–  Lay the wiring harnesses -arrows- free and disconnect the connector -1- on the »hot side« supercharger air hose.

–  Loosen fastening bolt -1- and remove the bracket. –  Release hose clip -bottom arrow- and disconnect coolant hose from oil cooler.   Note Disregard -top arrow-.

–  Loosen the clamp -2-, lift the clip -1- and remove the connecting hose on the »cold side« of the supercharger. –  Unscrew securing bolts -arrows- from charge air pipe and disconnect connector -1- from charge air pressure sender -G31-.

–  Open the clamp -2- and lay the coolant hose -3- free and remove the supercharger air hose.

–  Remove securing bolt -arrow- and push coolant circulation pump 2 -V178- aside.

–  Unscrew the fixing bolts -arrows- of the guide tube for the oil dipstick. –  Remove the guide tube from the cylinder block and move a little to the side.

–  Using the assembly tool -T10118-, disconnect the plug connection -1- on the oil pressure switch -F1- and unscrew the oil pressure switch. –  Remove the oil supply line -3- from the oil filter mount. If required, counterhold with a suitable open-ended wrench SW 13. –  Place drip tray below engine.

–  Loosen the securing bolts -arrows-, and remove the oil filter bracket. Installing Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:   Note t  Renew gaskets, seals and O-rings. t  Hose connections and air pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before assembly. t  Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Parts catalogue. t  To ensure that the air hoses can be properly secured at their connections, spray rust remover onto the worm thread of used hose clips before installing. Specified torques for oil filter bracket → Chapter. Tightening torques, supercharger air hose → Chapter –  Fill up with engine oil and check the oil level → Chapter.
