Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Spark plug spanner -3122 B-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Torque wrench (5 - 50 Nm) -V.A.G 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Compression meter -V.A.G 1763-
t  Extractor -T10094A-, ver nota → Anchor

Test requirements
l  Engine oil temperature must be at least 30 °C.
Work sequence
–  Remove air filter → Chapter .
–  Removing ignition coils. Utilizar para ello el extractor -T10094A-.
–  Remove the spark plugs using the spark plug spanner -3122 B-.
   
–  Remove the fuse for the injector units from the fuse holder. Fuse installation → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations
–  Ask a second mechanic to press the accelerator pedal to the floor.
–  Check compression with compression tester -V.A.G 1763-.
  Note

–  Operate starter until tester shows no further pressure increase.
Compression pressure
New: 10 - 15 bar. Wear limit: 7 bar
Tolerable difference between cylinders: 3 bar
–  Fit spark plugs with the plug spanner -3122 B- and tighten to 30 Nm.
Continue installation following reverse order for removing.
–  Consult fault memory; if necessary, repair any faults and then erase fault memory → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051“guided fault finding”
After deleting the fault memory, the conformance code must be generated.
