Remove
–  Remove the toothed belt → Chapter.
   
–  Fix the crankshaft pinion -1- with the used mounting bolt -2-.
–  Position the crankshaft at TDC cyl. 1: The shortened tooth of the toothed belt pinion should coincide with the mark on the oil pump -arrow-.
  Note!
Take into account that there are two TDC marks on the oil pump/seal holder cover, a short one for 4V engines (right side) and a longer one for 2V engines (left side). Do not confuse the marks when fitting the crankshaft at TDC, as significant damage to the engine could result.

–  Turn the crankshaft or the toothed belt pinion three teeth counter-clockwise from TDC: The third tooth to the right of the shortened tooth -A- should coincide with the TDC mark on the oil pump housing -arrow-.
  Note!
With this setting, the installation position of the crankshaft for fitting the oil pump is established. One of the crankshaft drive cams is up.
–  Remove the crankshaft toothed belt pinion and the toothed belt tensioning roller. To do so, immobilise the pinion with the countersupport -T20018-.
–  Remove the oil sump → Chapter.
–  Remove the intake line → Item.
–  Remove the oil pump.
  Note!
To remove the oil pump on vehicles with air conditioning, it is necessary to partially remove the vane pump-compressor-alternator support.
–  Remove the gasket.
–  With a flat scraper, eliminate the sealant residue from the engine block.
–  Clean the contact surfaces of all oil and grease.
