Part II Cylinder block - Assembly overview
1 - Cylinder head with camshaft housing
q   The seal surface should not be reworked
q   With integrated camshaft bearings
q   Remove any sealant remains.
q   Before fitting, apply AMV → Catalogue of spare parts
q   To fit, place vertically with the adjustment bolts in the cylinder head holes
2 - cylinder block
q   Removing and installing the engine block → Chapter
q   Dismantle and assemble pistons and conrods → Chapter
3 - Support
q   For tensioning element and air conditioner compressor
q   removing and fitting → Rep. gr.87
4 - Cover
5 - Pinions
q   To drive oil pump and distribution chain
q   The contact surfaces may not contain any oil or grease residue.
6 - Bolt
q   Torque setting 20 Nm + 90°
q   replace
7 - Pinions
q   Immobilise the sprocket by using the retention tool -T10172-.
8 - Control chain
q   Mark D.O.R. before dismounting (installation position)
9 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 25 Nm
10 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 15 Nm
11 - Chain tensioner with tensioning plate
q   For oil pump drive
12 - Tensioning spring
13 - Oil pan
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Clean sealing surface before installing
q   Fit with silicon-based sealant → Parts Catalogue
14 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 15 Nm
15 - Piston
q   For control chain tensioner
16 - Compression spring
17 - Chain tensioner
18 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 9 Nm
19 - Distribution housing
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Fix the oil sump with two bolts to ease the fitting of the distribution casing.
20 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 10 Nm
21 - Pulley - crankshaft
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   The contact surfaces may not contain any oil or grease residue.
q   During assembly and removal, secure using the tool -3415- to prevent it from turning.
q   Poly-V belt: removing and fitting → Chapter
22 - Securing bolt
q   For crankshaft pulley
q   replace
q   Apply oil prior to installation (thread)
q   The contact surfaces of the fastening screws may not contain any oil or grease residue.
q   Secure the poly-V belt with the retaining tool -3415- against twisting
q   Torque setting 150 Nm + 180°
23 - Bush
q   The contact surfaces may not contain any oil or grease residue.
24 - Crankshaft bearing seal
q   Renewing crankshaft oil seal → Chapter
25 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque: 50 Nm
26 - Seal
27 - Bolt
q   Torque setting 40 Nm + 90°
q   Immobilise the variator using the retention tool -T10172-.
q   Left turn bolt
q   replace
28 - Bolt
q   Torque setting 50 Nm + 90 °
q   replace
29 - Tensioning plate
30 - Controller
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Must not be dismantled
31 - Timing chain
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
32 - Pinions
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
q   For exhaust camshaft
q   Lock the pinions with the counterhold -3415- and the counterhold -3415/1-
33 - Guide rail
q   For timing chain
34 - Guide pin
q   Tightening torque: 20 Nm
