Removing and installing front exhaust pipe t  Removing → Anchor. t  Installing → Anchor. Removing

–  Release quick-fasteners -1- and -2- and take off front noise insulation. –  If fitted, release quick fasteners -3- and remove rear noise insulation.   Note The flexible pipe connection (de-coupling element) on the front exhaust pipe must not be bent more than 10° – otherwise it can be damaged.

–  Slacken nuts on front clamp -arrows-. –  Push clamp towards rear of vehicle to disconnect exhaust system.

–  Unscrew the heat protection plate -1- of the right cardan shaft.

–  Unscrew nut -arrow- at bracket for front exhaust pipe.

–  Unscrew the fixing nuts -arrows- of the exhaust pipe / catalytic converter . –  Remove the front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter. Installing Reassembly is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:   Note Renew seals, gaskets and self-locking nuts. –  Align exhaust system without tension → Chapter Tightening torques
