Tightening procedure of the Poly-V belt sprocket bolts > < Assembly overview

Crankshaft oil seal, pulley side: Replace.
Crankshaft oil seal, pulley side: Replace.
Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Pliers -T10022-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Plunger -T10022/1-
t  Bolt -T10022/2-
t  Extractor kit -T20143-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removal:
–  Removing principal notched belt → Chapter.
–  After that, remove the crankshaft timing belt sprocket.
   
–  Insert the extractor -T20143- and extract the seal -1-.
Fitting .
–  Lightly lubricate the sealing lip of the oil seal.

–  Mount the assembly tool -T10022- onto crankshaft journal and turn spindle -T10022/2- in until the stop.
–  Slide the sealing ring over the assembly tool.

–  Drive in oil seal as far as stop using the thrust piece-T10022/1-.
–  Fitting principal notched belt → Chapter.
