Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Refractometer -T10007A-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Base -VAS 6340-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Torque wrench -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor.

   
t  Hose clamp -3094-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removing
The installation location for the coolant circulation pump -V50- is located beneath the intake manifold.
–  Separate the under body protection.

–  Seal off the coolant hoses -2- with the hose clamps of up to Ø 25 mm -3094-.
–  Remove the connector -1- and the coolant hose -2-.
–  Unscrew the fastening bolt -3- and remove the pump from the holder.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:
l  Tightening torques → Chapter
  Note
Secure hose unions with hose clamps the same as those of the series → Electronic parts catalogue.
–  Check coolant level → Chapter.
