Removing and installing injectors t  Removing → Anchor t  Installing → Anchor Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter. Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Adjustment tool -T10133-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Torque wrench -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor. Removing Note safety precautions before starting work → Chapter   Note Every time the injector is dismounted, the Teflon seal on the injector must be replaced → Chapter. –  Remove air cleaner housing → Chapter. –  Remove the regulating flap control unit -J808- and the throttle control unit -J338-. → Chapter –  Remove intake manifold lower section → Chapter.

–  Press the O-ring upwards by hand as shown and remove from the injector. –  Screw slide hammer -T10133/3- to puller -T10133/15-.

–  Then insert puller -T10133/15- into groove -arrow- on injector.

–  Pull injector out by tapping carefully.

Installing –  Thoroughly clean injector holes in cylinder head using nylon brush -T10133/4-. –  Check whether the plastic support washer is damaged and replace if necessary → Chapter.

–  The spring element -arrow- and the Teflon seal must be renewed every time the injectors are dismounted → Chapter. –  Renew the O-rings between injector and lower part of intake manifold and lubricate with clean engine oil.   Note The Teflon seal on the injector must not be oiled or greased. –  Push injector into cylinder head bore to stop by hand.   Note The injector should enter smoothly. Where necessary, wait until the seal has contracted sufficiently. –  Ensure correct position of injectors in cylinder head. –  Fit the lower part of the intake manifold carefully onto the injectors and tighten the fastening bolts to 20 Nm → Chapter. –  Installing intake manifold → Chapter. Fit the regulating flap control unit -J808- and the throttle control unit -J338-. → Chapter
