Security valve: verification and fitting position
Security valve: verification and fitting position
(Only for vehicles with a security valve fitted to the outside of the active carbon filter)
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hand vacuum pump -SAT 1390-
Checking process
  W00-2716
–  Connect the vacuum pump -SAT 1390- to the connection -A- on the valve.
–  Create pressure, air should pass.
–  Create a vacuum, the vacuum should remain.
–  Then connect the vacuum pump -SAT 1390- to the connection -B- on the valve.
–  Create pressure, air should pass.
–  Create a vacuum, the vacuum should not remain.
If the result of the tests are not those described above then replace the security valve.
Installation position
  E20-0129
When fitting the security valve in the vehicle, take into account that the connection -A- should be positioned facing the active carbon filter.
